This one year Fellowship in Endourology, Laparoscopy, and Robotic surgery provides a comprehensive training environment and experience with all phases of endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
The fellow will be integrated into the urologic robotic surgery practices. He/she will be involved in the perioperative and postoperative care of these patients.
During the course of the fellowship, the candidate will participate in clinical and laboratory research as well as clinical responsibilities in direct patient care, teaching responsibilities within the department, including attending conferences, giving lectures, and the supervision and teaching of the resident staff.
This fellowship has a large volume in oncology, and reconstructive surgery, stone disease, donor nephrectomy and will provide extensive opportunity for surgical skills acquisition and publications over the one year training cycle.
The fellow will learn and provide clinical care at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
There are two full time clinically dedicated da Vinci “S” system robots, one research/training da Vinci robot, and da Vinci simulator.
The applicant will have completed an Accredited Urology Program.
