This one-year fellowship program takes place at Shaare Zedek Medical Hospital, the biggest multidisciplinary medical center in Jerusalem, which is associated with Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The program is recognized by the Endourological Society and includes extensive exposure in all areas of minimally invasive urology as well as opportunities in research.
As a tertiary refferal center, the endourology and stone disease unit has a high volume of procedures.
The fellow will receive training in all aspects of endourology, with an emphasis on advanced treatments and prevention of renal stone disease, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Through cooperation with numerous academic institutions, chances for basic research and other projects are possible and encouraged.
If accepted, applicants are required to independently participate in clinical practice, surgical procedures, and academic activities, including the publication of articles and the presenting scientific findings at national and international meetings. This program is designed for urologists who have finished their training and who aspire to specialize in minimally invasive procedures in urinary stone disease, metabolic evaluation and therapy of nephrolithiasis, endourology, and renal laparoscopic surgery.
Applicants must have completed a recognized Urology Residency and hold the proper certification.
