Job Information

Description of Position:

We offer a one year fellowship with a focus on minimally invasive and robotic surgery. Our center performs around 950 robotic prostatectomies per year, and also sees a high volume of laproscopic/robotic renal cases.

Our center produces a high volume of academic publications, and are involved in several clinical trials and research projects yearly.


 

Clinical Responsibilities

Principal duties and job responsibilities

o        Fulfill all the requirements as detailed by:


 

o       Academic accrediting body


 

o       Graduate Medical Education Committee


 

o       Resident Manual


 

o       Resident Contract


 

o       Provide patient care including consult service, surgery and inpatient service under the supervision of the Medical Director


 

o       Teach hospital or practice personnel or visitors as requested.


 

o       Complete research projects as designated by the Director.


 

a     Take call as designated by the Director.


 

a     Bill in accordance with Medicare guidelines


 

a     Performs other duties as assigned or directed by the Program Director of appropriate Specialty and Subspecialty Residency Program to insure the smooth operations of the department and a complete educational experience.


 

 

Eligibility

    • If International, must be eligible for an H1B clinical visa. Florida Hospital cannot support J-1 visas



 o       H1B clinical visa requires completion of steps 1, 2 and 3 of the USMLE


 

    • Must be eligible for a State of Florida training license

    • Must be eligible for malpractice as determined by the Adventist Health System (AHS)Trust
