Changes to the Endourology Fellowship New Program Application Process
The Endourology Society Fellowship Committee is pleased to announce changes to the application process for any program interested in offering a new Endourology Society-accredited fellowship. The changes are intended to standardize the timeline for application submission, ensure for adequate review and allow for any potential queries or modifications to be adequately addressed prior to participation in the subsequent match cycle.
New Program Application Timeline:
June 1st to August 1st – New program application submissions accepted
August 1st to October 1st – New program application review
November – Fellowship Committee response to programs. Each program will have 30 days to address / submit any revisions to their application if necessary. Programs that are not approved can reapply in the subsequent cycle.
December to March- Registration open for both applicants and approved programs for participation in upcoming match
New Program Assessment:
All newly accepted fellowship programs will undergo a review by the Fellowship Committee at the completion of its first two training cycles (end of academic year x2 for 1-year programs, end of 2nd academic year x2 for 2-year programs) to ensure standardized, high-quality training. The reviews will be similar to the recurring process that is being initiated for existing programs. Reviews will focus on clinical exposure, quality of research, mentorship and the ability to provide a comprehensive experience in endourology. Program Directors will receive written notification of any concerns to be addressed.
